Ah I’m doing all my very best to love this product! I love this idea through and through, the concept is great. But the execution I believe needs a serious upgrade.
The size chart on the website DOES NOT correspond with the actual product size.
I was very thorough with measuring myself with a centimeter tape and matching the website chart - I fell in the middle of size M.
When I received the product it looked smaller than a regular size M underwear, so I tried it on ON TOP of leggings and felt right away that it was too small.
It was a pack of 3 different styles, so I tried another one on top of the leggings too and again it was too uncomfortably small.
I wrote to the customer service right away asking to exchange for a bigger size, emphasizing I have NOT worn them or tried them on on bare skin. It was a very direct and uncompromising NO: if I opened the package, I must keep it and just order a larger size.
Bare in mind I wrote to them within 15 minutes of receiving the package and they can clearly track and see that.
On one hand I can understand the hygiene concerns, but on the other hand this is entirely the product’s fault for providing incorrect information about the sizing.
I knew right away it was too small for a regular size M, and I didn’t wear it, still they wouldn’t compromise in any way.
My impression is as if they just pulled up the most random size chart on google and uploaded it to the website but didn’t bother to check if it coincided at all with their actual product and its measurements.
Which is unfortunate.
Out of 3 styles I tried, this specific one I’m not able to wear because of how much pressure it’s putting on my body, how uncomfortable it is all around, and actually painful around my thighs, where the elastics are cutting into the skin.
I want to emphasize that I usually measure size S-M, I compared my measurements with the size chart on the website and made everything in my power to order the correct size. And even with half my pants being size S, I still can’t comfortably wear these panties size M.
The other two style were better, but this one I can’t actually wear for more than a minute without the elastics cutting into my skin. So for all the sustainability claims all I’m able to do is just throw it out?
This is unfortunate as overall quality of the product seems nice, and it has great potential.
The other two styles are much better on the size - still TOO SMALL all around and visibly smaller than normal size M panties.
From wearing the other two styles I can say that they absorb really well, the blood clots stay on the surface, but the liquid sinks in and it provides a much more comfortable experience than a pad.
However it develops a blood smell much quicker and stronger than a regular pad (even unscented), and from what I’ve noticed after using the 2 out of 3 pairs I ordered - is that it holds on to the blood smell even after the wash - for which again I followed the instructions on the website.
It also dried quite slowly so if you want to only use these for your entire period you’ll probably need a pair for each day and night - and that’s something to keep in mind.
I’m giving it 3 stars because I really like the idea, the concept, the effort.
But really do not appreciate the weird sizing issue with the careless website size chart.
Very unimpressed with the customer service too.
Overall I believe this brand is doing an amazing job trying to make period experience more comfortable and more sustainable for the environment - and I wish them all the best. However the execution needs improvement in the areas described above.
I don’t know if I’ll buy from this brand again, because of the weird sizing lottery, with it being the more expensive than alternative brands and uncompromising customer service there’s just too much risk involved.
